Masterpieces of the Romantic Era
The Boca Raton Music Society proudly opens its 2026–2027 season with an exceptional recital by internationally acclaimed pianist Maxim Lando on Sunday, October 18, 2026.
Performing Franz Liszt's 12 Transcendental Études and more, Lando brings to life one of the most monumental achievements in the piano repertoire—a work celebrated for its extraordinary virtuosity, profound poetic expression, and emotional depth. Rarely presented in its entirety, this complete cycle offers audiences a unique opportunity to experience a true musical masterpiece interpreted by one of the most distinguished young pianists of his generation. This promises to be an unforgettable evening and a magnificent beginning to an inspiring new concert season.

Maxim Lando first made international headlines performing alongside Lang Lang, Chick Corea, and The Philadelphia Orchestra under the baton of Yannick Nézet-Séguin at Carnegie Hall's 2017 Opening Night Gala.
Since then, he has appeared with leading orchestras worldwide, including the Cleveland Orchestra, Pittsburgh Symphony, Toronto Symphony, Israel Philharmonic, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, Vancouver Symphony, Zurich Chamber Orchestra, St. Petersburg Symphony, and more than 60 orchestras across the United States and Europe.
Awarded the 2025 Khaledi Prize for Excellence and Innovation in Classical Music from Festival Napa Valley, Maxim is also the winner of the 2022 New York Franz Liszt International Competition, the 2022 Vendome Grand Prize, and top prizes at both the 2024 Cleveland International Piano Competition and the 13th International German Piano Award.
He is a recipient of the Gilmore Young Artist Award and won the Young Concert Artists Susan Wadsworth International Auditions at age 16.
His recital debuts at Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall and the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater were hailed by The New York Times as concerts "You Won't Want To Miss!"
Dedicated to making classical music accessible to his generation, Maxim has been featured on CNN, NPR, BBC, WQXR, Bavarian Radio, Euroradio's Top Young Performers, Israel's Intermezzo with Arik, and Russia's TV Kultura.
