MEMBERSHIP POLICY

A Private Circle for Classical Excellence in Boca Raton

1. Purpose

The Boca Raton Music Society is a private cultural circle devoted to presenting world-class classical performances in intimate, salon-style settings.
Our mission is to unite artists and patrons who share a passion for music, art, and refined conversation—continuing the elegant Mizner tradition of cultured gatherings in Boca Raton.
The Society operates under the fiscal sponsorship of the Lisker Music Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

2. Mission & Values

The Society upholds the following guiding values:

  • Artistic Excellence: Presenting performances of the highest caliber.

  • Intimacy & Authenticity: Preserving the salon tradition of direct connection between artist and audience.

  • Cultural Patronage: Encouraging philanthropy and stewardship of the arts.

  • Privacy & Discretion: Respecting members’ confidentiality and maintaining the exclusive nature of events.

  • Community & Conversation: Cultivating meaningful engagement between musicians, patrons, and fellow supporters of culture.

3. Membership Overview

Membership provides access to a curated season of private concerts, artist encounters, and elegant receptions.
The 2026 Season features three salon concerts, each hosted in a distinguished private venue across Boca Raton.

Personal Membership — $500 per season

Includes:

  • Admission for two individuals (member and one guest) to all three concerts

  • “Meet the Musicians” opportunities following each performance

  • Complimentary wine and refreshments at select salons

  • Priority seating and advance RSVP privileges

  • Inclusion on the private Society roster

  • Option to attend post-concert receptions (when available)

  • Membership is non-transferable and valid for one calendar season

As the Society grows, premium membership tiers—such as Benefactor, Patron, and Founders Circle—may be introduced to recognize members who make enhanced philanthropic contributions.

4. Guest Attendance

Members may request to bring additional guests to an event for a contribution of $75 per guest, per concert.
Because seating is limited, guest admission will be confirmed on a space-available basis, according to RSVP order.

5. Application & Invitation

Membership is by invitation or referral only.
Prospective members may express interest through:

  • Referral or introduction by an existing member, or

  • Submission via the Society’s website at www.liskermusic.org

All applications are reviewed to preserve the Society’s artistic standards and intimate, respectful atmosphere.

6. Etiquette & Conduct

To maintain the refined character of every salon, members and their guests are expected to observe the following:

  • Punctuality: Arrive promptly; late arrivals may be seated at intermission or at the discretion of event staff.

  • Respect for the Performance: Remain silent and attentive during musical presentations.

  • Technology Use: Please silence and refrain from using phones, cameras, or recording devices.

  • Dress Code: Cocktail or elegant evening attire (jackets recommended for gentlemen).

  • Courtesy & Discretion: Conduct oneself with respect toward artists, fellow members, and hosts at all times.

The Society reserves the right to refuse entry or revoke membership for behavior inconsistent with its decorum or mission.

7. Privacy & Confidentiality

All Society membership lists, event locations, and communications are strictly confidential.
Personal information collected is used solely for administrative and event-related correspondence and will not be shared, sold, or used for solicitation.

8. Renewal & Membership Cycle

Memberships are seasonal and renewed annually.

  • Renewal invitations are distributed each October for the following calendar season.

  • Members are encouraged to renew promptly, as space is limited.

  • The Society reserves the right to decline renewal or revoke membership for conduct inconsistent with its mission or decorum standards.

9. Philanthropic Support

Beyond membership, patrons are invited to further the Society’s mission through:

  • Charitable donations or event underwriting

  • Sponsorships of artists, performances, or receptions

  • Offering private venues suitable for hosting future salons

All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Receipts for tax purposes are issued by the Lisker Music Foundation upon request.

10. Donor Recognition

Members who make significant contributions may be acknowledged as follows:

  • Founders Circle ($5,000+) — Recognized in programs and private communications; invited to exclusive artist dinners and preview performances

Members may also choose to remain anonymous in all public listings.

11. Refund & Transfer Policy

  • Membership contributions and donations are considered charitable gifts and are non-refundable.
