BOCA RATON MUSIC SOCIETY STATEMENT

Founded by David Shapiro and Art Lisker, the Boca Raton Music Society was created to enrich Boca Raton with exceptional classical music experiences. David Shapiro’s vision, passion, and commitment have shaped the Society since day one and remain essential to its mission. Along with Art Lisker, this dream has been embraced and supported by our wonderful community, which recognizes the importance of musical events and education.

Celebrating David Shapiro’s 70th Birthday, hosted by Rani Calderon. He has conducted most of the orchestras in the country and has performed in concerts around the world, as well as performing as a pianist in recitals and concerts.

The program  will feature some of the most famously recognizable pieces including Claude Debussy’s Clair de Lune, Sarasate’s tribute to George Bizet’s beloved opera “Carmen” in Carmen Fantasy, Ravel, Faure, and many more works by the most significant French composers .
