2020 YOUNG ARTISTS SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION

Lisker Music Foundation is a passionate non-profit organization which strives to support young artists by offering them the platform to showcase their brilliant abilities, while simultaneously infusing the community with world class music making. 

We are very excited to announce our 2nd annual Young Artist Scholarship Competition for instrumentalists!

One winner from each instrumental category (violin, cello & piano) will be selected to receive the award

&

A featured performance in a concert during the LMF 2020-2021 Season.

Decisions by the judges are final and are not negotiable by the participants, their parents, or their teachers.

APPLICATION DEADLINE

October 15th, 2020

APPLICATION FEE AND SUBMITTING INSTRUCTION

A non-refundable $25 application fee is only accepted through PayPal 

 

All application materials must be submitted online by uploading them to a neatly organized folder on Google Drive, DropBox, or another cloud-based site, and then providing us with a link to view this folder. 

The link to your Application Materials must be received via email to dlisker@gmail.com on or before the submission deadline (October 15th, 2020).

 

ELIGIBILITY

  • Applicants must be 18 Years or younger as of 10/15/2020

  • Must reside or have been born in the state of Illinois

  • Must be available to perform in LMF 2020-2021concert, as well as in the days leading up for rehearsals yet TBD.

  • All applicants are required to submit an unedited video audition featuring two contrasting works that best represent their abilities.   

  • Applicants will be judged for the quality of playing, as well as the quality of the video/audio recording.

DON'T FORGET TO DOUBLE CHECK

  • Filled out and signed the application form

  • Signed letter of approval/consent from current teacher

  • Proof of age and residence

  • 1-page bio

  • High Resolution Color head-shot

  • Two contrasting pieces may be submitted as two separate links. Piano accompaniment is required for any works that call for it.

  • Video, Application Form and other materials submission.  A link to an “unlisted” YouTube videos and a cloud based  folders with all materials  (DropBox, Google Drive , or other site) must be shared with dlisker@gmail.com

  • Make application fee payment on PayPal
